As a registered dietitian with more than 35 years experience in the health and wellness world, my passion is helping you improve your well-being through the foods you eat. I will show you how healthy eating can be delicious and make you feel better in so many different ways. Most importantly, I will show you how you can and should get more pleasure from the foods you eat.
Having a father who was a chemist initially fueled my curiosity about nutrition. The challenge of taking the science of the building blocks of food and how food works in the body, and then combining it with the art of real life has always been a calling. There is no bigger challenge than making nutrition “do-able” in people’s real lives.
My passion for teaching, coaching and helping clients has been honed over years of practice as a hospital dietitian and work in private practice. I have been a consultant to the corporate world, have written books, and regularly communicate to various print and TV audiences on a wide variety of nutritional topics.
My approach is to offer you options rather than dictate rules. Whether the goal is to help you manage your diabetes, maximize your energy, shift to a vegetarian or gluten-free diet, tune-up your eating habits or work towards finding a healthier weight, I will present you with reasonable options and points of view based on my experience, making complicated things easy to understand. I provide practical advice. My clients and readers tell me they find it easy to listen to what I have to say; I put it in a language people can relate to.
That’s why in my nutrition counselling practice, I work together with my clients to find solutions that don’t ask for major concessions. We develop realistic, practical solutions that fit into your unique lifestyle. Together, we tweak what you are already doing. The result is not a diet but a plan for your life—the life you want to live without fear so that you can love it right now.
